Abstract
You'll find evidence of a clergyman's presence in a parish in the daily registers of baptisms, marriages and burials, as well as within vestry and (in Scotland) kirk sessions. As we'll explain, though, there are many more places online to find biographical records of clergy, especially covering ministers, deacons, bishops and archbishops. Published in six editions and dating back to 1560, it gives details of when a minister took up his "calling" to a parish, as well as details on his education, background and whether he has any family.
