This article discusses the identity and political ideology of Vladimir Jabotinsky, a prominent figure in Russian Jewish history. It explores how Jabotinsky and other Jewish intellectuals in the Russian Empire sought to define their identity and differentiate themselves from other ethnic groups. The article highlights the role of language, religion, and race theories in shaping their sense of identity. It also acknowledges the controversial aspects of Jabotinsky's ideology, including his flirtation with protofascist and fascist regimes.
