Abstract
This article explores the prayers offered at Donald Trump's campaign rallies and their significance in understanding the beliefs and psychology of his religious supporters. The author reviewed 58 prayers from Trump's campaign events and found that they often depict America as a nation in crisis, in need of redemption and restoration of its special covenant with God. The prayers frequently assume Trump's righteousness and ask for his reelection, framing the election as a spiritual battle between good and evil. The article raises questions about the potential consequences if Trump were to lose the election and emphasizes the fervent belief among his supporters that his presidency has a divine mandate.
