Abstract

The article offers information about the Diné people's connection to the land and their traditional practices is a fundamental part of their culture. The creation of the Navajo Nation park system was a response to the U.S. government's taking of their land for national park sites. The Diné community faces challenges due to suppression of their culture and displacement from their land, resulting in high levels of poverty, poor health, and economic disparities.
