Abstract
The article summarizes Alan J. Clark's *The Full Gospel in Zion: A History of Pentecostalism in Utah*, which examines the experiences of Pentecostals who targeted Utah—a state dominated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS)—as a mission field in the twentieth century. The book explores how Pentecostals, motivated to convert Latter-day Saints, ultimately found commonality with each other as religious outsiders rather than successfully infiltrating the LDS community. It highlights unique aspects of Utah Pentecostalism, including the histories of Latin and Black American Pentecostals, and raises questions about intergroup relations and evangelism challenges. The work serves as an introductory study into the complex interactions between Pentecostal and LDS communities in Utah. [Extracted from the article]
