Abstract

The article examines the Hebrew Bible as a source of economic thought, highlighting how its narratives, laws, and parables reveal principles of scarcity, resource allocation, property, and ethical economic behavior that informed ancient Israelite society. Topics include biblical economic principles, scarcity and human action, institutional and Austrian approaches to economics, and the ethical dimensions of resource distribution and social order.
