Abstract
This article discusses the importance of experimentation in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and how it can lead to real impact. The authors conducted a study analyzing how four multinational companies implemented CSR and found that experimentation was crucial for achieving CSR goals. Companies that engaged in ongoing dialogue with local communities and adapted their CSR practices based on local feedback were successful in creating positive impacts. The article also suggests ways for companies to foster experimentation in their CSR implementation and for sustainable investors and ESG rating agencies to monitor and support experimentation.
