Abstract
This article proposes to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has been going on for decades and has caused numerous losses of lives through the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, who is the symbol of nonviolent resistance. We argue that Gandhi's philosophy can be re-adapted and applied to solve this problem, which has been going on for years. The article discusses Gandhi's ideas and their relevance to the atmosphere of war. By tracing the history of nonviolent resistance in Palestine from the pre-1948 period to the contemporary period, this paper discusses Gandhi's thoughts and argues how relevant they might be in an atmosphere of war. Every attempt to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is valuable since it serves international peace. This paper is one such attempt, and it suggests that Gandhi's philosophy of Ahimsa, which excludes violence, could play an important role in ending this long-standing conflict. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
