Abstract

The article discusses a study by Shah and colleagues, published in the issue which mapped state Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) bans for felony drug convictions between 2024 and 2021. Topics include purpose of SNAP, states that are subject to the SNAP ban, and reason that individuals with a history of felony convictions need support to be successful in the community.
