Abstract

The article focuses on a proposed mnemonic device designed to argue against evolutionary theory and support young-Earth creationism (YEC). It presents evolution as relying on three components—Natural Laws, Time, and Process—and uses the image of a Christian cross anchored in rocks to symbolize these elements: rocks represent Natural Laws, the horizontal beam represents Time, and the vertical beam represents evolutionary Process. The device is intended as a concise explanation to refute evolution by asserting that natural laws preclude evolution, insufficient time exists for evolutionary processes, and no demonstrated mechanism explains the origin of complex biological structures. Additionally, the mnemonic serves as a framework to organize various creationist arguments related to cosmology, geology, genetics, and biological design, emphasizing a theistic interpretation centered on the Christian cross as a symbol of divine creation.
