Abstract
The article focuses on the influence of French socialist Charles Fourier's ideas in Mexico, particularly through the work of Plotino Rhodakanaty, a Greco-Austrian socialist who popularized Fourierism in the country during the 19th century. Rhodakanaty's efforts included advocating for labor organization, agrarian reform, and women's rights, blending Fourierist principles with Proudhonian anarchism to address Mexico's unique social conditions. Despite his initial pacifist stance, Rhodakanaty's later writings reflected a more radical approach to social change, emphasizing the need for insurrection against oppressive systems. His legacy contributed to the development of agrarian socialism in Mexico, influencing movements that would later emerge during the Mexican Revolution. [Extracted from the article]
