Abstract
This article focuses on a study conducted in Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, examining the effects of an integrated psychological intervention on retirement planning among 235 young and middle-aged working adults. Participants were assigned to three groups: a control group viewing current self-photos, an experimental group viewing age-morphed future self-photos, and an experimental group that also completed a five-day diary writing task about improving their future well-being. Results showed that middle-aged participants in the writing task group reported increased financial and psychological retirement planning at six months compared to controls, while no significant effects were found overall. The study highlights the potential of targeted psychological interventions to enhance retirement preparation in specific age groups. [Extracted from the article]
