Abstract

White Desert is a luxury camp in Antarctica that offers visitors the opportunity to experience the remote and isolated beauty of the polar plateau. Founded by Patrick Woodhead, who has extensive experience in the Antarctic wilderness, the camp provides comfortable accommodations and gourmet meals while minimizing its impact on the environment. Activities include visiting the South Pole and the emperor penguin colony at Atka Bay. Woodhead aims to set best practices for sustainable tourism in Antarctica, using sustainable aviation fuel, leaving no trace in the living quarters, and exploring the use of green hydrogen power.
