Abstract

The article highlights decisions by the U.S. federal government to conserve ecosystems that apply ecological law principles. These include the U.S. Forest Service's protection of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, conservation of the Tongass National Forest under the Roadless Area Conservation Rule of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and prohibition of discharge disposal on the Bristol Bay Watershed as determined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under Clean Water Act.
