Abstract

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting applications for the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) 2025 Canada Grants. The grants aim to foster partnerships between public agencies and organizations interested in NAWCA conservation priorities. The deadline for applications is August 5, 2024, and a total of $45 million is available for awards ranging from $200,000 to $10 million. Eligible applicants include colleges and universities, for-profit organizations (including small businesses), nonprofit organizations, government entities, and independent school districts. The projects should focus on the acquisition, restoration, enhancement, or management of wetland ecosystems and associated habitats for the long-term conservation and benefit of migratory birds, fish, and other wildlife.
