Abstract

Researchers from Autonomous University Madrid (UAM) conducted a study on cyberstalking, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), compulsive internet use, and emotional intelligence. The study involved 1102 participants aged 18 to 65, with a slight majority of females. The research found that compulsive internet use and FoMO are potential factors that contribute to cyberstalking behaviors, emphasizing the need for interventions and digital literacy programs to address this issue, especially among vulnerable populations.
