Abstract
ConocoPhillips has secured an 18-year deal to access Belgium's liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, allowing the company to expand into the European market. Under the agreement, ConocoPhillips will have access to three-quarters of a million tons of import capacity per year at Fluxys Belgium SA's terminal in Zeebrugge starting in April 2027. This deal will provide ConocoPhillips with entry into the Belgian gas market and its trading hub, as well as connections to neighboring countries such as France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The company has been expanding its LNG operations in North America and sees Europe as a lucrative market due to the continent's diversification of supply sources. [Extracted from the article]
