Abstract

The article focuses on the harm that chemical engineers have caused unintentionally and the lessons that should be learned. The topics are discussed, including the negative consequences of tetra-ethyl lead, the positive and negative aspects of chlorofluorocarbons, and the Union Carbide pesticide plant disaster in Bhopal, India.
