Abstract
This work focuses on the detailed crystal structure and dielectric properties of LaCrO3 and Ni-doped LaCrO3 (LaCr 0. 9 Ni 0. 1 O 3) compounds. Both the samples were synthesized via the auto-combustion route. The orthorhombic crystal structure with Pbnm space group of both the synthesized samples was confirmed using X-ray diffraction measurements. The average crystallite size of LaCr 0. 9 Ni 0. 1 O3compound is 52.71 nm which was determined from the Debye Scherrer formula. In Ni-doped LaCrO3compound, the formation of Cr 4 + ions at the octahedral sites affects the dielectric properties. Enhancement in AC conductivity in LaCr 0. 9 Ni 0. 1 O3 compound is due to the hopping of charge carriers in the material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
