Abstract
World's Greatest PlacesTamakautoga, Niue An Empowering Dive ShopOn the tiny South Pacific island of Niue, Niue Blue is poised to become one of only three Eco Centers of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) in the region, thanks in part to the dive shop's support of Niuean women pursuing careers in marine conservation. They'll take visitors diving in one of the world's largest marine protected areas, where visibility can surpass 160 ft. and, from late June to October, to see humpback whales arrive to calve and nurse their young extraordinarily close to shore.—Terry Ward [Extracted from the article]
