Abstract
The California Recreation and Visitor Services Program, offered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), is accepting applications for the fiscal year 2024. The program aims to enhance recreational opportunities and foster partnerships with local communities. The deadline for applications is February 2, 2024, and a total of $500,000 is available for awards ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Eligible applicants include colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and school districts. The BLM is particularly interested in projects that promote environmental justice, address climate change, and provide equitable access to outdoor recreation for all Americans. The program also seeks to engage youth, tribes, and underserved communities in public lands stewardship. [Extracted from the article]
