Abstract
A recent study conducted by researchers at Yale University School of Medicine explored the feasibility of using wireless breathalyzers to monitor blood alcohol concentration and enhance treatment motivation for individuals with alcohol use disorder in outpatient care. Participants were divided into two groups, one using the experimental breathalyzer and the other receiving standard treatment. The study found that the experimental intervention led to higher motivational scores at the two-month evaluation and six-week follow-up. The research suggests that incorporating new technology for ongoing monitoring can support individualized treatment approaches and timely interventions. [Extracted from the article]
