Abstract

A minor omission is that the species are only categorised by total length, whereas several species of fish are better sized by fork length where the tail is relatively long in relation to the main body, deeply forked or asymmetric. There are species range updates, newly described species and also very valuable juvenile illustrations. The Field Guide to Coastal Fishes of Bermuda, Bahamas and the Caribbean Sea is the third such field guide by the acclaimed illustrator Val Kells co-authored with internationally recognised ichthyologists.
