Abstract
The Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat in New Zealand's Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve is a luxurious lodge that offers a unique dining experience paired with stargazing. Guests can enjoy a six-course tasting menu featuring dishes like alpine salmon and pasture-raised beef, followed by a visit to the lodge's wine cellar and observatory. The observatory houses a high-power telescope for viewing celestial objects such as Saturn's rings and star clusters, and guests can even take home astrophotography. This experience is available nightly and may also provide an opportunity to see the southern lights. [Extracted from the article]
