Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate a method of utilizing UV erosion to regulate the diffraction efficiency of polarization volume grating (PVG). This approach enables facile patterned control of PVG diffraction efficiency while ensuring the integrity of the diffraction element. Upon short‐duration UV erosion, a noticeable decrease in diffraction efficiency is observed. Following prolonged exposure to UV erosion, the central wavelength of PVG exhibits a red shift, accompanied by an extension in wavelength bandwidth response. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
