Abstract
The article focuses on Iraq's plans to achieve self-sufficiency in gasoline production and become an exporter of surplus oil products following the expansion of its refineries. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani announced that Iraq will no longer need to import gasoline by the end of this year, thanks to projects like the expansion of the Diwaniya refinery and others in Maysan and Najaf. Currently, Iraq, as the second-largest producer in OPEC, primarily exports crude oil due to insufficient refining capacity, but aims to convert 40% of its crude production into higher-value products by 2030.
