Abstract
The article addresses the complexities surrounding the cultural and pharmacological meanings of San Pedro and Peyote, two psychedelic cacti. It highlights the significance of mescaline, the active compound in these plants, and provides corrected dosage information for various forms of mescaline, including mescaline hydrogen sulfate, mescaline hydrochloride, and the dried and fresh forms of Peyote and San Pedro. The authors acknowledge calculation errors in a previously published table and have updated the online version to reflect accurate dosage thresholds. This discussion is relevant for those researching the cultural implications and uses of psychedelic substances. [Extracted from the article]
