Abstract

Professor Minghan Ye was an eminent experimental physicist in China and a trailblazer in particle and nuclear physics experiments in the New China. Professor Ye participated in the development of China's earliest two electrostatic particle accelerators and conducted low-energy nuclear physics experiments on these machines. He dedicated his life to research in nuclear detector technology and led the development of the Beijing Spectrometer, a major facility in high-energy physics. As one of the principal leaders of the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider project, he has made significant contributions to the advancement of high-energy physics in China. Professor Minghan Ye passed away in Beijing on October 4, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. due to bladder cancer. May his legacy endure eternally, and may his noble spirit be forever cherished. This paper is dedicated to the memory of esteemed Prof. Minghan Ye. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
