A Double-Channel, Double-Wollaston Prism Interferometric Imaging System with Adjustable Resolution.

Abstract
This paper presents a novel double-channel interferometric imaging system with adjustable resolution to overcome the limitations of fixed-resolution systems using Savart and Wollaston prisms. This system is able to obtain orthogonal polarimetric images and differential polarimetric images. The resolution of the system is widely adjustable through adjustment of the spacing of two Wollaston prisms. Upon ray tracing of wide Savart prism (WSP) and double-Wollaston prism, the principle of beam splitting and interference is obtained, followed by induction of the formula for calculating transverse shear difference and the variation curve of transverse shear difference with spacing of the two Wollaston prisms. On this basis, the characteristics of the system's spectral resolution are studied, with experimental verification of its adjustment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
