Abstract
The Health Professions Authority of Zimbabwe (HPA) has expressed concerns about beauty and wellness operators offering services for which they do not have the necessary qualifications. The HPA specifically mentioned intravenous drips, infusions, and injectables as treatments that are being offered by non-medical professionals, posing a risk to public health. The HPA has partnered with the police to crack down on these operators and is urging the public to seek medical advice and treatment from registered health professionals and institutions. The HPA is currently closing facilities where non-medical personnel are performing procedures that should be done by registered medical professionals, and those responsible are facing legal consequences.
