Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of addressing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) within correctional facilities as a critical aspect of public health. It highlights the growing incarceration of women and the need for multifaceted approaches that go beyond conventional healthcare, including social engagement projects led by universities and the integration of prison ministry. These collaborative efforts aim to provide comprehensive SRH services, combining medical, emotional, and spiritual support to incarcerated individuals. The involvement of prison ministry is noted for fostering trust, reducing stigma, and promoting community among inmates. Overall, the article advocates for holistic and socially transformative initiatives to uphold the health and dignity of prisoners while benefiting broader societal health outcomes.
