Abstract
Around Lake Michigan is as much an art book as it is an exhibit catalog - a pictorial inventory of the Odawa artifacts housed at the museum, most of which were collected by Georg Schwarz and Martin Pitzer. AroundLake Michigan focuses on a portion of the artifacts within that gallery - those belonging to Great Lakes Indian communities, especially the Odawa. It was in this spirit that the Weltmuseum invited members of the LTBB to Vienna so that the museum might "become more familiar with [the Odawa's] ancestors' legacy" (8). [Extracted from the article]
