Abstract
The article focuses on the relationship between yoga, the nervous system, and the body's chakras, which are described as energy centers that regulate physical and mental balance. It explains how yoga practices such as pranayama (breath control) and meditation influence the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to promote health benefits including improved digestion, immune function, and stress reduction. The seven main chakras align along the spine and head, each associated with specific glands, hormones, and spiritual principles, with the crown chakra linked to endocrine regulation and spiritual awareness. Yoga aims to awaken Kundalini Shakti, a divine energy at the spine's base, by directing life-energy (prana) through the chakras to foster physical strength, mental focus, and spiritual connection.
