Abstract
"The Right to Research: Historical Narratives by Refugee and Global South Researchers" is a collection of nine essays that challenges the dominant norms and assumptions in refugee and migration studies. The book highlights the importance of including the perspectives and experiences of scholars from the Global South, who have often been overlooked in this field. The essays explore a range of topics, including education in refugee camps, the experiences of displaced women and girls, the impact of colonization on Burundian drumming, the migration of cultural practices, and the interaction between traditional healing and modern medicine. The book emphasizes the need to broaden our understanding of research and knowledge production and to create space for marginalized voices in academia. [Extracted from the article]
