Abstract

The article reports on the increase in hate incidents against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community since the start of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Topics discussed include the mental health impact of the pandemic-related discrimination, the attitudes of the AAPI community toward mental health services, and the support which may be extended by health care providers to AAPI community members that experience psychological distress.
