Abstract
This article focuses on the Academic Research Blog (ARB) as a medium for disseminating scholarly research and proposes a new format called the Quality Blog (QB) to address ARB's limitations. The QB is defined by eighteen comprehensive requirements that combine features of traditional academic journals—such as editorial policies, persistent identifiers, and long-term preservation—with the immediacy and accessibility of blogs. Unlike ARBs, which often lack formal peer review, editorial guidelines, and stable digital infrastructure, QBs aim to ensure quality across content, processes, and technology while maintaining free access and broader audience engagement. An analysis of blogs from top business schools shows widespread use of ARBs, highlighting the potential for QBs to offer a more standardized, sustainable, and credible platform for academic communication across disciplines.
