Abstract
A recent study conducted by researchers from Universitas Brawijaya explores the use of a restorative justice approach to victimless crimes. The research highlights the involvement of the victim, perpetrator, and their families in resolving the issue outside of court. The study emphasizes the need for a common perception among law enforcement officials regarding drug abuse, as some still view drug users as criminals rather than victims. The researchers suggest the development of guidelines and cooperation between the Supreme Court, Attorney General's Office, and Police to ensure legal certainty in handling narcotics abusers and to address the issue of overcapacity in Indonesian prisons.
