Abstract

The article focuses on the impact of GLP-1 weight-loss medications on dating and social interactions among single adults in the U.S. A survey conducted by the Kinsey Institute revealed that 8% of respondents had used GLP-1 drugs, with 59% of these users reporting changes in their dating lives. The findings indicated that while men experienced both positive and negative effects, they reported greater confidence and dating success compared to women, who faced less stigma regarding medication use. Concerns about the long-term effects and the appropriateness of using these medications for weight loss were also highlighted, with a significant portion of respondents expressing reluctance to date someone on GLP-1.
