Abstract
The article focuses on the decline of pipeline gas imports in the European Union (EU) as reported by the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) for September 2025. The EU imported 9.6 billion cubic meters (bcm) of pipeline gas, reflecting an 11% decrease year-on-year and a 23% decrease month-on-month, primarily due to maintenance activities in Norway, Algeria, and Tunisia. Despite the overall decline, Azerbaijan and Libya increased their exports to the EU, with Azerbaijan being the only supplier to show year-on-year growth. Over the first nine months of 2025, Norway remained the largest supplier, while Poland experienced the highest growth in imports among EU member states. [Extracted from the article]
