Abstract
This article presents the problem of high performing bullies in the work environment with an emphasis on how the toxic work environment they create is harmful to women of color colleagues. The article starts with an anonymous interview and later provides five steps leaders should be taking to ensure these high-performers don’t drive away women of color employees. These steps include establishing a no-tolerance policy on toxic behavior as well as the “if you see something, say something” policy.
