Abstract

The article focuses on Circ, a company pioneering large-scale textile recycling by developing a method to separate polycotton blends, which constitute most used clothing but have been difficult to recycle. In 2025, Circ partnered with 13 major brands, including H&M, Zara, and Christian Siriano, to incorporate recycled textiles into their products. Circ collaborates with existing suppliers to facilitate the adoption of recycled materials and plans to build the world’s first commercial-scale polycotton-recycling factory in France. The company aims to replicate the paper industry's expansion of recycling infrastructure from the 1990s and 2000s within the clothing sector. [Extracted from the article]
