Abstract
The article examines the concept of "socialist globalization" through a review of several scholarly works that explore the connections between socialist states and the Global South during the Cold War and decolonization. It highlights three key insights: state socialism fostered diverse global connections, these networks created an alternative international realm, and the socialist world was intertwined with Western structures. The reviewed books, including *Socialism Goes Global*, *Journeys of Soviet Things*, and *Arrested Development*, each contribute to understanding how socialist ideologies interacted with global capitalism and local experiences, revealing complexities in the historical narratives of socialism and its global impact. The article ultimately questions the utility of the term "globalization" in encapsulating these varied experiences and dynamics. [Extracted from the article]
