Thinking about Military History as a History of Social Change.

The George C. Marshall Lecture in Military History is presented as delivered at the 2024 meeting for the American Historical Association (AHA) by Beth Bailey, Foundation Distinguished Professor at the University of Kansas. She focuses on how military history is a history of social change, as exemplified by her research on the race crisis within the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.
