Abstract

The article discusses the highlights of the public symposium "Human Experience in the Oregon Great Basin" held in Oregon from November 5-6, 2022. Topics mentioned include the protection of tribal ancestors, culture and heritage, some issues concernig excavation activities for archaeological site damage assessments and the author's struggle to find meaning for commonalities as people and positionalities of people situated within their own cultural understandings.
