Abstract
The article discusses the shortage of textile engineers and technical operators in Azerbaijan's textile sector, as highlighted by a representative from SIAR Research and Consulting Group. Currently, only about five percent of the workforce is employed in this sector, with women constituting 44 percent of that workforce. The Azerbaijani textile industry, which includes traditional crafts like yarn production and carpet weaving, is evolving with a focus on increasing cotton yield and developing export-oriented products, supported by new investments and global collaborations. This sector is seen as a vital part of the country's efforts to diversify its economy away from oil dependency. [Extracted from the article]
