Abstract
The article discusses a report by the National Confidentiality Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) which offers a reminder of the unique challenges and responsibilities facing nurses in prison settings. Topics include implication of the report's exposure of the healthcare experiences of individuals who died in prison or were transferred to National Health Service (NHS) hospitals for nursing and the necessity of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for prison staff.
