Abstract

An editorial is presented on Haitian American population has grown significantly in recent years. Topics include sponsorship from relatives with U.S. citizenship status and seeking asylum or refugee due to a combination of political unrest, natural disasters; and Haitians who believed hypertension was an illness followed the treatment plans of health care providers, as well as used complementary and alternative medicines.
