Abstract
This article focuses on a study examining the role of worldview (Weltanschauung) in the development and persistence of suicidal ideation, emphasizing how distortions in an individual's worldview can impair their ability to find meaning in life. Grounded in Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy and Existential Analysis, the study argues that suicidal thoughts often stem not only from psychopathology or external stressors but also from disruptions in meaning-making during existential distress. It presents a clinical case illustrating how early relational trauma can distort worldview and increase suicide risk, while recovery involves self-transcendence through relational connection and engagement with values beyond the self. The study advocates for suicide prevention approaches that assess worldview and meaning capacity alongside traditional risk factors. [Extracted from the article]
