Abstract
This scientific note discusses the discovery of the lauxaniid fly species Poecilominettia sexseriata on Guam, an island in the Pacific. The species is originally from South America and has also been found in Hawaii. The article provides information on where P. sexseriata has been found on Guam, as well as records of other fly species in Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The authors suggest that P. sexseriata may have been introduced to Guam from Hawaii, but the exact timing is unknown. The text includes a list of locations where different fly species have been found and acknowledges the support of others in the research. [Extracted from the article]
