Abstract
This article focuses on a study examining how bi-negativity from both straight and gay communities affects the mental health, well-being, sexual identity visibility, and body dissatisfaction of UK-based bisexual cisgender men. The study found that bi-negativity from straight communities directly predicted poorer mental health and increased body dissatisfaction, while bi-negativity from gay communities was linked to greater sexual identity visibility and indirectly influenced mental health through this visibility. The findings highlight different pathways by which stigma from these communities impacts bisexual men's mental health and underscore the need to reduce prejudice in straight communities and support bisexual visibility. The study is based on a preprint and has not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
